Eric oberst
Eric is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and is passionate about helping others become the best version of themselves. His goal is life-long optimization of health and wellness for his clients. He has a strong desire for continuous improvement of all facets of his life and is constantly seeking new information he can share with his clients. Difficult questions and problems that arise within a session prompt Eric to challenge himself and guide his learning in the current available evidence and research to discover ways that he can integrate new treatment strategies to help his clients achieve their full potential of adaptability.
He uses the movement system to approximate the status and function of all physiological systems within the body. His belief is that one system of the body impacts all other systems, and you can’t treat one body system without treating and impacting all other systems. No system functions independently of any other system. Using this treatment approach, he often finds that with what appear to be movement related “problems” or symptoms in one area, are often “results” of limitations in movement in a separate, but related part of the body or even body system.
Using a first principle approach, he challenges his client’s belief systems regarding physical therapy, personal training, and movement as a whole. With his specialized and unique approach to human movement, Eric founded Burst Physical Therapy, LLC in 2020. He offers physical therapy, personal training, sports performance, and consultation services. He considers his time with his clients an investment. As a result, he works with each client on an individualized plan tailored to their needs. Eric meets his clients where they are and works with them to educate and present them all available options. The client will ultimately make the decision on what they think is best for them, with 100% support from Eric. He believes that his job is simply to serve as a teacher or a guide to help navigate them through whatever problem they are trying to solve in order to reach their health goals.
Eric joined the Fitness Clinic of Indy in 2025 to collaborate with like-minded coaches to help positively impact their surrounding community.
